Mahalakshmi Temple is dedicated to the three deities ‘Shree Mahakali or Durga’, ‘Shree Mahalakshmi’ and ‘Shree Mahasaraswati’. The temple and its Mandap are 60’ wide, 35ft narrow and 60 ft. lengthIn the month of March/April and September, October the sun rays are directly coming on the faces of all the three deities even though temple gabhara is extremely inside.
The beauty of the Temple, its mythological importance and its proximity to the Sea shore its Dhwajastambha all combine together to make theplace a wonderfull tourist attraction.The story of the three deities is that the Hindus threw an idols of the Goddesses into the Sea to avoid destruction of the idols by the Muslim invaders
